SanMarJean is a great Adirondack Camp overlooking Rainbow Lake in the Adirondack Mountains. The lake is 3 miles long and connects to waterways totalling 12 miles. The camp is 12 miles away from Saranac Lake and 24 miles from Lake Placid.
The camp was built in 1929 and features a magnificent great room with numerous rustic features. The camp has been fully restored and refurnished with Adirondack rustic furniture. SanMarjean is one of the largest properties on Rainbow Lake with over 1,000 feet of waterfront and 50 acres of wilderness and a long private driveway. Privacy, peace, and quietness are profound. The main Lodge overlooks the water and looks at the NY state land on the other side. There are no visible neighbors. SanMarjean is located on the eastern end of Rainbow Lake which is far less populated with only three other camps in the vicinity. The camp features a unique design where the two accommodation wings are located on either side of the great room, each wing features two bedrooms and a bathroom. This design offers convenience and privacy for the occupants. The fifth bedroom offers a totally independent accommodation with its own entrance, bathroom and living area. Hand crafted steps lead down to the lake and the large floating dock and a fire pit. SanMarjean is beautifully furnished and maintained. From the moment you enter SanMarjean grounds you would feel a sense of tranquility rarely felt by most people. |
